Painter

We are currently seeking reliable and full-time painters to join our team. The starting pay offered is $30-$35 hourly and will be fixed according to the skills and experience for at least 30 hours a week. However, this will be reviewed periodically. Any overtime will be paid as per the above pay rate. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of related tasks, including:

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, scraping, patching, and priming.
• Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray guns.
• Select appropriate paint and materials based on surface types, project requirements, and environmental factors.
• Follow safety protocols and use protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, including proper storage and disposal of painting materials.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to coordinate painting schedules and prioritize tasks.
• Address any touch-up or repair work as needed to achieve a flawless finish.
• Adhere to project specifications, blueprints, and quality standards to meet client expectations.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• At least two to three years of proven experience in painting, plastering, construction work, or similar fields. Alternatively, a construction related qualification.
• Must be available to work early mornings and weekends (based on work arrangement).
• Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines.
• Pre-employed drug test and police check is required.
