Road Transport Manager

Position Available: Road Transport Manager
Number of Positions Available: 1
Location: Central Otago region
Pay Rate: $34 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week

Key Requirements

• Minimum 2 year of experience
  OR
• Level 2 or higher qualification

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient transport operations and customer service.
• Oversee daily road transport activities, including scheduling, dispatch, and after-sales service.
• Review and improve operational programs and procedures to maximise efficiency and service quality.
• Manage, motivate, and provide direction and feedback to transport staff and drivers.
• Assist in recruitment, training, and development of transport team members.
• Plan and implement after-service support to ensure customer satisfaction and address feedback.
• Liaise with clients, staff, and management to identify expectations and develop solutions to meet operational needs.
• Monitor compliance with health & safety, road transport regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of transport operations, staff performance, and service delivery.
• Prepare operational and performance reports for senior management.
• Ensure safe and efficient use of vehicles and equipment.
• Undertake any other duties within the scope of the role as required.
