Aluminum & Façade is looking for an experienced fabricator welder to join our team in

Auckland. The minimum working hours is 30 hours per week, and the maximum hours

is 40 hours per week. Suitable candidates will be offered an hourly rate of $29 to $32,

subject to your skills and experience.

Job Description

- Reviewing blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to identify project

requirements.

- Selecting, cleaning, and preparing metal materials for fabrication.

- Cutting marked metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame-cutting torches, or

metal-cutting machines.

- Forming and bending metal components and pipes with hand tools, machinery, or by

heating and hammering.

- Positioning and aligning components for assembly using measuring devices and hand

tools.

- Assembling and securing metal parts through welding, bolting, or riveting.

- Inspecting welds to ensure correct bead width, penetration, and overall accuracy.

- Finishing fabricated items through cleaning, polishing, filing, or acid treatment.

- Smoothing and refining welds by filing, chiseling, or grinding.

Requirements

- a minimum of two years of relevant trackable work experience

- a tradesperson certificate is preferred

- flexibility to work during the weekend if required

- no criminal record, hardworking, reliable and motivated

A negative drug test result may be a condition of an offer of employment.
