We, Fortune Fern Food Limited are looking to employ dedicated and reliable Cooktojoin us in Auckland, New Zealand. 

Job location/region: Auckland, New Zealand

Employment type: Permanent 

Days required: 5 days per week 

Hours per week: minimum of 30 hours a week is guaranteed, maximumof 50 hours per week 

Hourly rate: $27.50 – 29.66 Depends on experiences 

Job description: 

● Setting up, cleaning, and organizing work stations 

● Preparing ingredients, washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.

● Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements by the customers if needed

● Portions, arranges, and garnishes food based on client preference

● Preparing for stir-fry, fry, mix, fry in shallow oil

● Cooking according to food health and safety standards 

● Recommending ideas for specials or seasonal dishes 

● Storing all food properly in temperature-controlled facilities

● Sanitizing and cleaning work stations and utensils 

● Reordering ingredients and spices as needed with quality check

● Monitoring or training other kitchen team members if needed 

Job pre-requisites: 

● Certificate in cookery level 4 OR Minimum 2 years of professional cookexperience 

● Have a certain understanding of Chinese cuisine 

● Proven ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen

● Able to work weekends, holidays, and split shifts as needed

● Team player with good communication skills 

● Able to work under pressure with excellent time management
