Vehicle Painter

About our company

Glory Panel & Paint Limited is christchurch based leading provider of quality panel beating and paint services. Due to our business expansion, we are looking for multiple Vehicle Painters to join our friendly team.

What you will do but not limited to the following:

Removing rough spots on vehicle panels

Sanding surfaces by hand and with power sanders

Masking areas not to be painted with tape and paper

Colour matching and mixing paints to match paint shades, and selecting pre-mixed paint

Applying primer and finishing coats using spray-guns, and sanding surfaces between coats

Touching up paintwork and applying polish to vehicles

Removing masking papers, and waxing and polishing finished paintwork

Painting signs and artwork on vehicles

Treating vehicles with rust-proofing chemicals

General housekeeping and tidying the paint shop and mixing room

Maintaining personal equipment and PPE in good working order

General equipment maintenance.

Any other tasks and functions required by management and supervisor

Suitable candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

Minimum two years or above relevant work experience or formal certificate level qualification (NZ level 4 or above).

Good communication and professional skills

Punctual, honest, reliable and hardworking

Keen to work well within a team setting

Great attention to details

What we can offer:

Full time employment in Christchurch

Hourly rate: $28/hour gross - $32/hour gross

Hours of week per week: a minimum of 30 hours, no more than 55 hours per week, from Monday to Saturday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Over time maybe expected
