We are seeking a proactive and strategic Retail Buyer who can help shape product selection, supplier partnerships, and promotional strategies to ensure our stores remain competitive and responsive to customer trends.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor sales data, inventory/stock levels and review trade, manufacturer, and market data to keep ahead of changing market conditions

  • Negotiate purchase, promotion and supply contracts with suppliers, ensuring value for money and strong relationships

  • Design and implement pricing, marketing, promotion, and product display strategies to drive sales

  • Collaborate with store management on long-term planning, seasonal product lines, and sales promotions

  • Forecast consumer trends and determine quantity, style and quality of goods to be purchased

  • Establish purchasing and stocking plans according to seasonal demand and budgetary constraints

  • Inspect, compare and select goods; perform quality evaluation to ensure product standards

  • Manage sample reviews from suppliers, ensure product specifications are met

  • Occasionally may involve buying  and/or perishable goods; ensuring freshness, yield, quality

  • Work closely with merchandising, store operations, and finance teams


Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Level 4 qualification (or higher) or a relevant field at least 2 years’ relevant work experiences 

  • Strong negotiation skills and demonstrated ability working with suppliers

  • Solid analytical skills – able to interpret sales/inventory data and market trends

  • Excellent communication and planning abilities

  • Experience with product selection, quality assessments, and seasonal planning preferred
