DUCTING INSTALLER/PIPE FITTERS Wanted

We are looking for 2 permanent and full-time (at least 30 hours per week, workdays from Monday to Friday) competent Ducting Installer/Pipe Fitters to grow with our team.

We are looking for highly experienced Ducting Installer/Pipe Fitters, who are self-motivated and have high finish standard with an excellent eye for detail. You will need to have at least 2 years relevant experience in the same field/industry, OR have a relevant NZ level 4 or equivalent qualifications/certificates, when being considered.

Duties and  Responsibilities:
•    Reviewing blueprints, planning, installing, and maintaining air-conditioning, ducting, piping systems and related equipment 
•    Inspecting the workplace, clearing obstructions and preparing materials and equipment. 
•    Studying blueprints and planning air condition, ducting, pipe systems and related equipment installations 
•    Using a variety of tools to modify ducting pipes to specifications 
•    Measuring and marking ducting pipes for cutting and threading 
•    Assembling and welding pipe components and systems 
•    Securing pipes to walls and fixtures with brackets, clamps, and welding equipment 
•    Ordering required materials such as ducts, pipes, hangars, brackets, hydraulic cylinders, etc. 
•    Repairing and maintaining duct/pipe systems, supports, and related equipment 
•    Clearing duct/pipe systems of obstructions and testing their functionality 
•    Diagnose faults and repair or replace defective installed work 
•    Record system errors, actions taken and report any unfixed work to the Leading Hand or the Director 
•    Adjust system controls and mechanisms and reassemble systems 
•    Keep tools needed in trade up to date 
•    Complying with relevant codes and regulatory standards 
•    Keep tools needed in trade up to date and in good working order 
•    Clean up debris generated by work activity 
•    Other duties as required
