We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking Grocery Assistant to join our team in our busy supermarket. This is a hands-on role where you will play an important part in ensuring shelves are fully stocked, the store is well-presented, and customers receive excellent service.


Position: Full time- Grocery Assistant
Place: SuperValue, Milton.
Hours: Minimum of 30 hours per week.
Pay range: $23.50 - $25.00


Grocery Assistant- Job Description:
 You will be required to work/assist in all areas of the store as required.
 Assisting customers with queries in a helpful and professional manner.
 Serving customers.
 Assisting customers to the appropriate aisle or shelve in order to assist with purchasing
decisions.
 Providing excellent customer service.
 Ensuring the store is clean, safe, and in order- in line with health and safety regulations.
 Supporting with unloading deliveries and restocking products
 Stocking and replacing products to avoid any damages.
 Keeping shelves fully stocked with fresh products, including fridges and freezers.
 Preparing store displays and ensuring that products are accurately labelled.
 Ordering out-of-stock products.
 making sure that stock is rotated — putting goods with the earliest sell-by dates to the front.
 Discarding expired items and place near expiry items on special promotions.
 Assist in the produce and butchery section- as required.

Requirements:
1. Previous retail work experience would be beneficial.
2. Must be able to work weekends, as required days are Wednesday to Sunday.
3. Drug and alcohol test may be required for health and safety purposes.
4. Must have a valid driver’s license.
5. Friendly, approachable, and a great team player
6. Strong attention to detail and able to work in a fast-paced environment
7. Physically fit, with the ability to lift and move stock.
8. Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
9. Holding a forklift license would be of benefit.
