Overview
NZ Study Careers supports individual and group study programmes across New Zealand in close partnership with local schools and homestay networks. We design safe, well-run tours and study experiences that fit each client’s needs.

Location: Auckland office located 40 Barbarich Drive, Stonefields, Auckland 1072 with travel to partner schools and host families; occasional trips to other regions as required. This is an Auckland-based role. However, due to the nature of tour coordination, you will at times travel to various locations across New Zealand to accompany and support clients with short notice.

Employment type: Full-time

Work hours: Work hours are anticipated to range between 30 and 40 hours per week, spanning Monday through Friday, between the hours of 09:00 am and 7:00 pm. The specific days and times may change to suit the business needs, which may include working on weekends and public holidays, if required.

Hourly wage: NZD $30-$34


The Role (Purpose)

The tour coordinator serves as the main point of contact for clients, collaborates with partner schools, plans tour itineraries, provides guidance to students, visits host families, assists with administrative tasks, and ensures all duties are completed professionally and on time.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

       Coordinate and manage tours for overseas student groups and other customers, ensuring smooth logistics and unforgettable experiences.

       Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing information, and resolving issues with professionalism and efficiency.

       Collaborate with partner schools and students, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring compliance with all necessary requirements.

       Plan and execute tour itineraries, including transportation, accommodations, activities, and meals.

       Provide guidance and leadership to large groups of students, ensuring their safety and enjoyment throughout the tour.

       Visit host families to ensure compliance with program guidelines and address any concerns or issues that may arise.

       Assist with administrative tasks, such as booking reservations, managing documentation, and maintaining accurate records.

       Complete all relevant duties in a professional manner on time, every time.


Skills, Experience & Education

  • Fluency in Japanese (spoken & written) is essential due to the fact that our core clients are Japanese student groups.
  • 2+ years’ experience in customer service, tourism, education, or a related coordination role.
  • Comfortable leading large groups of young learners; confident giving clear directions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to self-manage and work independently.
  • Police vetting (school compliance) required prior to commencement.
  • Positive and proactive attitude with a strong team collaboration spirit.
  • Comfortable working with large groups of young students and giving directions_
  • Hold a valid NZ driver's license to facilitate transportation to schools, host family residences, and for conducting student tours as required.
