Estimator – Leadership & Development Focus

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team with a strong focus on leadership and mentoring. This role goes beyond producing accurate and competitive estimates – it is about developing and guiding junior estimators, strengthening our estimating capability, and contributing to the long-term growth of our business.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and reviewing detailed cost estimates for projects of varying scale and complexity.
• Leading, coaching, and supporting junior estimators to build their technical and professional capability.
• Establishing consistent processes and best practices within the estimating team.
• Working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates are clear, accurate, and aligned with project requirements.
• Supporting continuous improvement in systems, tools, and methodologies for estimation.

About You

We are looking for someone who not only excels in estimation but also has a passion for leadership and people development.

You will bring:

• Proven experience as an estimator in the power, utilities, or construction sector.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, or team development skills.
• Excellent analytical and numerical ability, with attention to detail.
• Confidence in communicating with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
