Dheer Enterprises Limited T/A Sai Café and Superette is seeking a responsible and motivated Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retail store. The successful candidate will ensure smooth store management, lead a small team, maintain excellent customer service standards, and contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations -
Oversee the day-to-day running of the store, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Manage store opening and closing procedures.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and merchandising standards across the store.
Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and safety regulations.
Liaise with suppliers, service providers, and other stakeholders as required.
Stock and Inventory Management -
Manage product ordering, receiving, and stock control processes.
Conduct regular stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory records.
Ensure shelves are well-stocked, properly labelled, and product displays are appealing.
Monitor product quality, expiry dates, and storage standards.
Sales and Customer Service -
Lead and motivate the team to achieve sales and profitability targets.
Plan and implement small-scale in-store promotions or marketing initiatives.
Provide exceptional customer service and handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally.
Monitor sales performance and suggest improvements to enhance revenue.
Finance and Cash Handling -
Oversee daily sales reconciliation, cash flow, and banking processes.
Maintain accurate financial and administrative records.
Report daily/weekly sales summaries and operational updates to the business owner.
Staff Management-
Recruit, train, and supervise store staff to ensure efficient operations.
Prepare staff rosters and manage attendance or shift coverage.
Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching or feedback to improve productivity and service quality.
Foster a positive and respectful work culture.
Health and Safety-
Maintain a safe environment for both staff and customers.
Ensure compliance with all workplace health, safety, and food safety standards.
Report and address any hazards or incidents promptly.
Skills and Experience-
Minimum 2 years of experience in retail management or supervision OR a Level 4 (or higher) qualification.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Sound knowledge of retail operations, stock control, and customer service principles.
Proficiency in basic computer and POS systems.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities.
Minimum hours per week: 30
Maximum hours per week: 40
Other Requirements -
Must pass a character check.
Must pass a drug and alcohol test.
Must hold a full, clean New Zealand driver’s license.
Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
