Position: Horticulture Leading Hand

Key Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead small teams in orchard tasks
  • Allocate daily tasks and monitor progress
  • Train new workers on horticultural techniques and safety protocols
  • Ensure work is completed to quality and productivity standards
  • Maintain tools and ensure safe usage
  • Monitor worker attendance and performance
  • Report operational issues to supervisors or managers
  • Support health and safety compliance across orchard sites
  • Assist with seasonal planning and resource coordination

Position: Operations Manager

Number of Positions: 1
Location: Tauranga, Bay of Plenty
Pay Rate: $38 – $45 per hour
Hours: 30 – 40 hours per week

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience or Level 4 or higher qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple orchard sites
  • Develop and implement seasonal work plans and schedules
  • Supervise team leaders and field staff
  • Monitor orchard performance and ensure quality standards
  • Manage budgets, procurement, and resource allocation
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers
  • Prepare operational reports for company directors
  • Coordinate training and development for staff

Position: Plant Machinery Operator

Number of Positions: 2
Location: Tauranga, Bay of Plenty
Pay Rate: $30 – $35 per hour
Hours: 30 – 40 hours per week

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience or Level 4 qualification
  • AND Valid driver’s license (Class 1) New Zealand or International

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate tractors, sprayers, mulchers, and mowers in orchard blocks
  • Conduct pre-start checks and routine maintenance
  • Apply sprays and treatments as per orchard schedule
  • Transport bins and equipment across orchard sites
  • Follow GPS and mapping systems for precision tasks
  • Maintain spray logs and machinery usage records
  • Report faults or hazards to management
  • Assist with irrigation and mowing tasks
  • Ensure safe operation in all weather and terrain conditions.
