Responsibilities:
•    Work on interior and exterior projects throughout the year
•    Work on commercial or residential projects
•    Work in with the team or at times in an independent capacity    
•    Set up sites as required for H&S compliance or for the protection of surfaces not included with the specific project
•    Remove hardware, fittings, fixtures or furniture or other such items that may impede your ability to gain access to the designated surface that may impede your ability to produce the desired result
•    Preparation of substrates in accordance with standard trade practices, the director of management or as required for the satisfaction of the client’s expectations
•    Apply paint systems in accordance with he manufactures specifications, standard trade practices, the direction of management, foreman or as required for the satisfaction of the client’s expectations
•    Clean up the site as per standard trade practise, the direction of management or as required in order to return the site back to its original condition
Please note however that responsibilities can be added or removed based upon project requirements or at the direction of your immediate supervisor.  It is important to note that responsibilities above will be added once the management team / supervisor is confident that you have sufficient training or experience to successfully complete the tasks assigned.


Qualities / Skill Requirements:
In satisfying the above requirements, it is expected that you will possess the following skills, knowledge or qualities.  Please note however, that ongoing training and “up-skilling’ will be provided.
•    Have good communication skills
•    Have good planning and organisation skills
•    Have a good attention to details
•    Have the ability to apply coatings through brush, rolling, spraying or other techniques
•    Have the ability to work at heights or within restricted spaces 
•    Have the ability to undertake minor repairs to identified substrates
•    Have the ability to operate machinery or access equipment 
•    Plastering or render work ability
•    Gib stopping and joint repairs
•    Be reliable and proactive
•    Must have a good working knowledge or understanding of standard painting industry standards and processes
•    Must have a good working knowledge or various painting techniques
•    Must have a good working knowledge or understanding of various paint systems (i.e. primers, top coats)
•    Must have a good working knowledge or understanding of hand or power tools
•    Must have the ability to calculate material (paint) requirements
•    Follow verbal or written paint specifications of details provided
•    Follow Stand Health and Safety guidelines, processes established in JSZA’s, SSP’s or as directed by management

Remuneration: $29.66 per hour
Working Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday
40 hours per week
