We are seeking a motivated Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. You will assist the Restaurant Manager in the daily operations, ensuring smooth service, high-quality food standards, and excellent customer experience. Assist the Restaurant Manager in leading and motivating a high-performing front-of-house team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure exceptional customer service and dining experiences are delivered consistently
  • Monitor inventory, ordering, and staffing to optimise restaurant performance
  • Handle day-to-day operations, including scheduling, training, and problem-solving
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain high food quality and efficiency
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing and promotional initiatives
  • Uphold health, safety, and compliance standards across all restaurant activities
  • Relieving the Restaurant Manager during absences and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Assisting the Restaurant Manager in resolving staff queries, rostering issues, and workplace concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Monitoring customer feedback and restaurant performance reports to maintain and strengthen brand standards and guest satisfaction.
  • Assisting in supplier selection, placing food and beverage orders, and ensuring all deliveries meet company standards.
  • Assessing staffing levels and allocating duties to ensure efficient kitchen and front-of-house operations.
  • Participating in management meetings and contributing to business planning and operational improvement strategies.
  • Supervising and supporting the work of team leaders and other staff, including training and onboarding new employees as required.
  • Identifying and implementing sustainable practices to reduce waste and encourage environmentally responsible operations.
  • Maintaining Health & Safety and Food Safety standards at all times in accordance with New Zealand regulations and company policies.
