CNC Profile Cutting Services Limited is a New Zealand owned and operated company with more than twenty years’ experience in the cutting industry.  Leading the way in New Zealand’s steel market, CNC Profile Cutting Services with it’s innovative vision has now become the country’s largest and most efficient plate processing plant. 

We currently have 2 full time permanent roles available for a metal machinist Operator (CNC & Laser Cutting) based at our site in Omahu Road, Hastings, Hawkes bay.

This position is to be an operator for the CNC and/or Laser cutting machines.

The position requires you to be reasonable fit (lifting and standing).

Must have a good attitude towards learning and a good work ethic.

Must be reliable and on time.

Computer skills necessary in order to use the software with proficiency and confidence.

3 years relevant experience (Metal Machinist/CNC/Laser Cutting) or a relevant NZQF Level 3 qualification required.

We will be offering a competitive pay rate of between $30 - $34 ph.  A minimum of 35 hours per week to be worked 7.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

A brief job description of the position:

-          Run programmed nest to cut, drill and tap, bevel profiles from steel plate

-          Checking quality is to a high standard and correct throughout the cutting process

-          Load/unload beds with steel plates

-          Check material thickness and grade is correct for plate being cut

-          Grinding of parts where required

-          Stacking pallets of cut profiles when necessary

-          Completing paperwork
