Service Foods Waikato is seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative.
- Location: Te Rapa, Hamilton
- Hours: Up to 30 hours/week (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, any 3 days/week)
- Start Date: Immediate
- Employment Type: Permanent, Part-Time
About the Role:
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our valued customers — managing inquiries, processing orders, and resolving issues efficiently and professionally. You’ll use Salesforce (CRM) and Sage (ERP) systems to maintain accurate records and support seamless operations across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service through prompt and accurate order processing and communication
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships while supporting sales and data accuracy
- Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, fax, and online channels
- Enter and manage customer orders in Sage (ERP) and update records in Salesforce (CRM)
- Monitor and manage customer backorders to ensure timely delivery
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities to support revenue growth
- Follow up on customer queries, complaints, and requests, coordinating with internal teams for resolution
About You
You are a proactive and resilient individual with a strong background in customer service. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are committed to delivering outstanding service.
Key Attributes:
- Professional phone manner and strong communication skills
- Experience in customer support, call centre, or similar roles
- High attention to detail and strong data entry skills
- Excellent time management and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (essential); experience with Salesforce and ERP systems (advantageous)
- Strong interpersonal skills with an empathetic and adaptable approach
- Reliable transport to and from work
- Knowledge of the food services or warehouse industry is a plus
- Year 13 or equivalent qualification required
