Maintenance Handyman 30-40 hours per week

Our client is a well-established, NZ-owned manufacturing company based in Onehunga, with a strong reputation for quality and long-term stability. On their behalf we are on the hunt for a reliable and experienced Maintenance Handyman to take charge of general site maintenance, ensuring everything runs smoothly across buildings, equipment, and grounds.

About the role:

This is a varied and hands-on position where no two days are the same. Duties include:

• General property and facility maintenance – repairs, upkeep, and installations

• Preventative and reactive maintenance

• Putting up shelving, painting, light carpentry, and basic plumbing tasks

• Landscaping and outdoor maintenance

• Patching walls, painting, and touch-ups in offices and production areas.

• Fixing leaks, replacing tap washers, and maintaining washrooms and staff areas.

• Changing light bulbs, repairing light fittings, and replacing ceiling tiles.

• Cleaning gutters, drains, and external areas.

• Performing basic welding, or fabrication repairs.

• Maintaining a logbook of maintenance requests and completed work.

• Coordinating with external trades when required

• Assisting contractors on site (e.g., electricians, HVAC, plumbers)
