About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Airline Station Manager to oversee and coordinate Air China’s daily operations at Auckland Airport. This role ensures the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and customer service while maintaining full compliance with company policies, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations, and airport authority requirements.
This is a permanent full-time role with 40 hours per week. Monday to Sunday on a rotating roster.
In this position your responsibilities will include
Manage and supervise all ground operations, including passenger services, ramp operations, cargo handling, and aircraft turnaround
Lead, train, and motivate local station staff and contracted service providers to ensure performance excellence and compliance with Air China standards
Oversee operational safety, security, and emergency response procedures in line with regulatory requirements
Monitor flight schedules, irregular operations, and on-time performance; coordinate with head office and airport authorities to ensure smooth resolution of issues
Manage station budgets, cost control, and local procurement in accordance with corporate policies
Maintain strong relationships with airport authorities, government agencies, and industry partners
Prepare operational and financial reports, and contribute to strategic planning for the Auckland station
Requirements for this role:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in airline or airport operations managerial or supervisory role
Strong understanding of aviation safety, ground handling, and regulatory compliance
Proven leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Sound knowledge of CAA NZ requirements and local airport operations
