We are seeking a qualified and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our Auckland-based engineering team.

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our Auckland-based engineering team. This role is critical in ensuring the airworthiness, safety, and reliability of Air China’s fleet through effective maintenance and technical support at Auckland Airport.

 

This is a permanent full-time role with 40 hours per week. Monday to Sunday on a rotating roster.

 

In this position your responsibilities will include

Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards

Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of aircraft systems and components

Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in compliance with CAA NZ and company requirements

Liaise with flight crews, technical staff, and engineering control to resolve technical issues and ensure operational efficiency

Ensure all work is carried out in a safe, compliant, and timely manner

Support quality assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department

 

Requirements for this role

Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in commercial aircraft maintenance

Possession of B787-9 (RR Trent1000) release certification is required

Candidates with airline outstation experience are preferred

Strong understanding of aviation safety regulations, CAA NZ requirements, and OEM maintenance

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment

Effective communication skills
