Supervisor

Chahal Horticulture Limited is looking for multiple Supervisors to join our team in the Bay of Plenty region. This role involves coordinating daily orchard operations, leading and supporting staff, and ensuring all activities run efficiently. We are seeking reliable individuals with strong communication and teamwork skills who can contribute to the smooth performance of our business. The candidate may also be required to travel within  the region, with all travel and fuel costs covered by the employer.

Key Duties will include-

• Supervise and coordinate farm teams, ensuring tasks are completed to the required standards across all worker groups.
• Assist management in overseeing farm operations, maintaining cost efficiency, and maximising productivity.
• Manage seasonal horticultural activities to consistently deliver high-quality results.
• Monitor staff attendance and hours, preparing and submitting timesheets accurately.
• Evaluate staff performance, offering feedback and reporting outcomes to management.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the Director to ensure operations are aligned with business expectations.
• Promote and enforce workplace health and safety standards across all farm activities.
• Remind workers about health and safety rules and note any issues for management to review.
• Other relevant tasks as requested by the management.

The role requires a minimum of 30 hours per week, with an hourly pay rate between $25 and $30.

Other requirements:

• Available to work on weekends and start early.
• Effective time management skills
• Relevant work experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Physically fit and able to work for extended periods
• Reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organisational skills
