Nail Technician

Mint Nails & Beauty Limited, established in October 2014, has been operating a beauty salon in Wellington for over 10 years. We are currently seeking a skilled Nail Technician to join our friendly and professional team to help maintain our high-quality service standards and uphold our company’s excellent reputation.

What we offer: 

Full-time permanent roles - 30 minimum guaranteed work hour per week  

The rate of pay or salary: $26.00/hr - $28.00/hr before tax depending on depending on backgrounds and experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Manicure and pedicure of nails, including cleaning, shaping, buffing, and cuticle care for both hands and feet 
• Proficiently applying various products like nail polish, gel, and acrylics with a focus on creating a smooth, even finish. 
• Using proper sterilization techniques to ensure client safety and prevent the spread of infection. 
• Providing hand and foot massage services for clients
• Creating intricate and detailed nail art designs
• Applying regular or gel nail polish
• Recommend colours, and designs based on each customer's style
• Receiving bookings, arranging appointments and maintaining client records
• Prepare and serve refreshments for clients
• Display and maintain stock of nail and beauty products
• Respond to guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy
• Maintain inventory and a clean workspace while adhering to all health and safety regulations

Requirements and skills:

• A relevant qualification in Nail or Beauty field( Level 4 or higher), and  
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a beauty salon or spa environment

Additional requirements:

• Skilled in Manicures and pedicures, Artistic and design skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Friendly, professional, and well-presented with attention to detail
• Creativity and a commitment to continuous learning
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work weekends, public holiday or late hours when needed
• Ability to speak Vietnamese is a real bonus as our primary clients come from the Asian market, particularly Vietnamese clients. We will certainly consider all candidates.
