We are looking for 3 enthusiastic and hardworking people to fill our full-time positions for a Managerial role at our three diaries located in Christchurch, Canterbury. This is for someone with a knack for management and is a retail superstar. 

We are offering these roles to those who can speak English and have advanced communication skills. The ability to work with technology would also be an advantage. 

The role offered includes a minimum of 30 hours and the minimum pay is between $30-$35.

Your role is to manage the day-to-day operations of your designated retail store and ecommerce store to ensure profitability.

Your duties will include but are not limited to

  1. Managing the purchase and setting up selling price.
  2. Making advertisement and promotion plans.
  3. Ordering stock from multiple suppliers.
  4. Managing staff, training and customer service.
  5.  Maintaining stock level according to the nature of business for retail store and ecommerce store.
  6. Banking, Budgeting and finance side of the store.
  7. Be the face of the organization, handle all customer enquiries, feedback and provide.
  8. Using intrapersonal and negotiation skills to ensure the success of the business. 
  9. Understanding the profit margins and strive to achieve maximum profitability. 
  10. Build long lasting relationships with customers, staff and suppliers. 
  11. Following up with complaints, refund and making sure customers’ concerns are resolved satisfactorily. 
  12. Identifying the areas where operations can be improved and develop plans for further improvement.
  13. Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.

Our ideal candidate must have the following skills and experiences:

  •   A minimum of 2 year of store experience with sound knowledge of selling and managing, or
  •   A have a Level 4 or above qualification in Business/Commerce/Management or relevant field.
  •   Should have good communication skill to communicate with suppliers and customers.
