JUL'S DECOR LIMITED based in Auckland, specialises in delivering high quality, customer focused commercial and residential renovation solutions. We are looking for two painter/plasterers to join our awesome team. 

You will be expected to mainly work at different sites in the Auckland region. This job requires you to work a minimum of 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday as normal hours of work, and you may also be required to work on Saturday as well. Please note this is a permanent full-time role and the hourly pay rate would be $29-$32 based on the candidates' experience and skills.

Job Description for This Position

  • Prepares surfaces for applying paint, stain and other finishes by washing; scraping; sandblasting; sanding, and priming. Erects barriers for dust and contaminate control. 

  • Mixes and matches paints, varnishes, epoxies and stains in preparation for application on walls, ceilings, doors, cabinets, etc.  Applies paint with brushes, rollers, sponges, cloths and spray guns. 

  • Mixes, applies and smoothes plaster on walls, ceilings and patch holes in walls and concrete floors. 

  • Applies vinyl and paper wall coverings, rubber baseboards and may glaze windows. 

Key Requirements for Successful Applicants

  • At least two years’ work experience in painting and/or plastering or similar is required.

  • Relevant qualification or certificate is a bonus.

  • Punctual and reliable with a positive can-do attitude will be key in this role

  • Be physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting.

  • A positive and willing attitude to learn and progress. 

  • Able to work with deadlines and schedules, and available to work weekends if required.
