About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in Auckland. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering a minimum of 30 hours per week, with work hours generally between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., depending on project requirements. Weekend or public holiday work may occasionally be required during busy periods. The remuneration of the position will be between $29 - $35 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret construction drawings to determine materials, dimensions, and installation methods.
- Measure, cut, and assemble timber, plywood, and other materials for construction and civil works.
- Build and install timber structures to support electrical and civil projects, such as formwork, framing, and enclosures.
- Construct and install formwork for concrete foundations, pits, and cable trenches.
- Fit and secure doors, windows, roofing, and wall panels where required.
- Repair and maintain existing timber and formwork structures.
- Work with other materials such as metal and plastic laminates when needed.
- Follow health and safety standards and coordinate with other site teams to complete work efficiently.
About You:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Show reliability in attendance, punctuality, and meeting daily productivity targets.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, teamwork, and willingness to assist with other site duties when needed.
- Follow company procedures and report hazards, incidents, or equipment faults promptly.
