Are you a skilled Industrial Electrician ready to take ownership of a busy, complex food manufacturing plant? On behalf of our client, we are looking for a hands-on professional to join a high-performing engineering team and work towards bringing electrical operations back in-house.
You will be working across a large industrial plant with Electrical and Mechanical systems associated to the process environment along with involvement for air, hydraulic, Gas and steam distribution, dryers, hydrolysis, steeping equipment, evaporators, and one of Auckland’s largest boilers. This is a varied and challenging role, perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
About the Role:

Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and plant equipment.

Work on motors, drives, control systems, PLCs, and instrumentation.

Collaborate with engineers and maintenance teams to troubleshoot, optimise, and improve plant performance.

Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Support the modernisation and reliability initiatives across the plant.

Ability to work extended hours for breakdowns and call outs
About you:
-
Qualified Electrician (NZ Certificate of Competency or equivalent).

Strong experience in industrial or process plant environments.
-
Hands-on experience with PLC systems, motor controls, drives, and instrumentation.

Experience in management or scheduled and unscheduled shut down maintenance
-
Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to maintenance and improvement
-
Excellent team player with strong communication skills.
