Based on the current workload, we are looking for gardeners to join our team.

About the role:

  • Auckland based full time job

  • Guaranteed minimum 40 hours each week

  • Hourly rate between $30-$32 depending on experience

Job description:

  • Prepare ground for garden and landscaping construction when required.

  • Establish and maintain new lawns, including spreading topsoil, seeding, mowing, and fertilizing

  • Select, plant, and establish a variety of plants, trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns according to the landscape design plan

  • Water, fertilize, prune, and care for newly planted vegetation to ensure successful establishment and growth

  • Work with site managers and assist with setting up the construction site and preparing the layout.

  • Monitor for pests and diseases, and apply treatments as needed to protect new plantings.

  • Assembling the cutting wood for building walls, fences, pergolas, ponds, barbeque and garden furniture.

  • Work closely with the construction and design teams to ensure landscaping complements the overall site plan.

  • Provide ongoing maintenance and care for the landscaped areas, ensuring they remain healthy and attractive.

About yourself:

  • Hard working with the right attitude

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to talk to clients

  • Has a health and safety focus

  • At least 2 year proven experience in gardening, landscaping, or horticulture, particularly in establishing new gardens and landscapes, or hold relevant horticultural or landscaping Level 4 certificate.

  • Good physical condition and the ability to perform manual labour outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • The ability to work in a team environment and unsupervised

  • Must be NZ residents or citizen to apply
