Our Director, Danny, brings over 20 years of experience in both painting and plastering, ensuring every project is completed with skill and attention to detail.


Our team works hard to meet deadlines and has successfully completed several major contracts across the Canterbury and Otago regions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret plans, drawings, or instructions to determine required materials, methods, and surface preparation.

  • Prepare work areas by covering fixtures, removing old paint, sanding, washing, or filling imperfections.

  • Mix and prepare paint, plaster, and coatings to achieve the correct colour, texture, and consistency.

  • Apply paint, plaster, varnish, or finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, or trowels.

  • Perform GIB fixing, wallpaper hanging, and surface finishing as required.

  • Carry out water blasting and maintenance work to ensure surfaces are properly cleaned and maintained.

  • Repair cracks, holes, and damaged surfaces using suitable materials and techniques.

  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, within project deadlines, and in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.

  • Maintain all tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.

 

Skills and Experience Required

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Painter (residential and/or commercial).

  • Good understanding of surface preparation, painting systems and techniques (some plastering experience would be ideal).

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Reliable, punctual, and physically fit for the role.

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.

 

What We Offer

  • Immediate start and continuous, stable work with 32 hours minimum weekly guaranteed.

  • Weekly pay with hourly rate based on experience.
