Role Purpose: The Truck Driver role is physically active (will be responsible for loading/unloading at client sites) and requires attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety. Truck Drivers also must be willing to communicate and cooperate with customers, respond to their needs, and safely operate delivery vehicles in compliance with company.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- 
Pre-inspect truck, verify load for accuracy.
 - 
Load and unload Cargo.
 - 
Refuel and clean vehicle, ensuring vehicle is refueled and cleaned at the end of shift.
 - 
Report all incidents to the dispatcher.
 - 
Follow traffic laws.
 - 
Set up job perimeters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment to unload.
 - 
Always keep logbook up to date.
 - 
Build and maintain a positive attitude with customers.
 - 
Keep commercial driver’s license up to date; advise immediately if suspended, revoked, or otherwise restricted.
 - 
Ensure the uniform is clean, tidy, and worn in line with uniform guidelines.
 - 
Complete accurate paperwork as assigned for each job.
 - 
Ensure that there are enough RUC’S, for both truck and trailer to complete shift.
 - 
Sight and confirm that the truck and trailer have current COF and registration.
 - 
Complete other mechanical checks tyres, oil, fuel etc. as outlined in the company manual.
 - 
Empty cab of any personal rubbish and items, ensure that the cab interior is clean and tidy prior to end of shift.
 - 
No cell phone communication via voice, text, or other means whilst vehicle is moving.
 - 
Container swinglift experience required and. Road ranger gearbox experience required
 - 
1 year experience or level 2 certificate
 - 
$30 to $35 Per hour and 30 hours per week
 - 
Non-smoker preferred
 - 
Ministry of Justice check and Drug test is required
