Job Summary
The Director of Student Support plays a key leadership role in ensuring every student at
Kiwi Education receives exceptional academic, emotional, and social support throughout
their learning journey. This position oversees student welfare, counselling, learning support,
and co-curricular engagement, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment.
The Director will collaborate with academic, administrative, and marketing teams to enhance the overall student experience — from enrolment to graduation — and to build a culture that values wellbeing, diversity, and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the institution’s student support and wellbeing strategy aligned with Kiwi Education’s mission and values.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in student services, pastoral care, and learning support.
- Contribute to strategic planning and quality assurance processes across the institution.
Student Welfare & Support
- Oversee the design and delivery of student counselling, mentoring, and wellbeing
 programmes.
- Ensure compliance with the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of Tertiary and
 International Learners.
- Provide leadership in managing student issues, grievances, and crisis responses in a fair
 and confidential manner.
Academic & Career Support
- Collaborate with teaching teams to identify students requiring academic assistance and coordinate targeted learning support.
- Strengthen career guidance services, linking students with internship, employment, and
 further study opportunities.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, train, and mentor the Student Support team to deliver high-quality services and
 maintain strong student engagement.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration between departments, including
 Admissions, Marketing, and Academic teams.
- Build partnerships with community organisations, health providers, and external
 stakeholders to enhance support services.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly evaluate service effectiveness.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management regarding student satisfaction,
 wellbeing trends, and support outcomes.
Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Proven experience in an educational environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient CRM software.
