We are looking for experienced Thai Massage Therapists to join our team.

Requirements 

The successful applicants must have one of the following requirements.

• At least 2 years of related experience , OR

• A related qualification (at NZ Register Diploma level or higher, overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification), OR

• The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) from Thailand

Job Descriptions

  • Applying massage to the body’s soft tissues—such as muscles, ligaments, and tendons—to support recovery, relaxation, and overall wellbeing

  • Using a range of massage techniques, including traditional Thai massage methods that involve acupressure, stretching, and assisted yoga-like movements to improve flexibility, balance energy flow, and relieve tension

  • Administering treatments to enhance circulation, reduce muscle stiffness, and promote physical and mental relaxation

  • Assessing and treating specific soft tissue dysfunctions while providing rehabilitation and self-care advice to support healing and prevent recurrence

  • Incorporating additional therapeutic methods such as acupressure, Shiatsu, and Thai herbal compress therapy, along with aids like infrared lamps, warm or cold compresses, essential oils, and herbal or mineral remedies to assist recovery

  • Evaluating clients’ physical condition, posture, and medical history, and recommending appropriate Thai stretching exercises, breathing techniques, and relaxation practices to maintain overall body balance

Other detail 

• This is a full-time and permanent position

• Wage payment ranges from $27 to $35 per hour, depending on your experience and skills. Payment is made weekly.

• Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law

• You will be working in 539 Gladstone Road, Te Hapara, Gisborne

• We open from Monday to Sunday 9.00 am – 8.30 pm 

• You will work according to a roster 5 - 6 days each week, with a guarantee of 30 hours (a maximum of 48 hours)
