Diesel Mechanic - Plant & Machinery

Purpose of the Position

The purpose of this role is to ensure all the machinery at McMud is kept in full working condition meeting all Health & Safety requirements. It is also responsible for the planned maintenance of any equipment ensuring little or no business interruption.

This is for a full time, minimum 40hr/week position.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Servicing
    Provide servicing on all plant and machinery
    Undertake breakdown repairs when they occur
    Interacting positively with customers as they move around site
  2. Maintenance
    Planned preventative maintenance
    Maintenance and COF’s on all truck and trailers
    Modifying and building specialised machinery
  3. Health, Safety and Wellbeing
    Take responsibility for your own health and safety at McMud
    Ensure own actions keep self and others safe
    Identify, report, and assist to eliminate hazards in workplace
    Participate in local workplace safety management practices
    Participate in workplace wellbeing initiatives
  4. Other Duties
    Engineering
    Machine operating
    Truck Driving
    Yard development

Work Experience and Qualifications

  • Formal Level 4 Trade Qualification as a diesel mechanic.
  • Minimum 3+ years mechanical work experience
