We are seeking 2 skilled and experienced Excavator Operators to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating excavators to perform various earthmoving tasks, including trenching, grading, and material handling. This role requires precision, safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively in construction and civil engineering environments.

 

Job Duties:

  • Prepare machine for operation.
  • Operate excavators to dig trenches, foundations, and other necessary earthworks.
  • Load and unload materials, debris, and other objects safely and efficiently.
  • Perform grading, leveling, and compaction tasks as required.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks and ensure the machine is in good working condition.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and ensure safe working conditions.
  • Interpret plans, drawings, and specifications to execute tasks accurately.
  • Work collaboratively with other site workers and supervisors to complete projects on time.
  • Identify and report any mechanical issues or hazards.

 

Job pre-requisites:

  • A qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 4 in a relevant field.
  • At least three years of relevant work experience may substitute for the qualification.
  • Eyes for details and a hard-working attitude.
  • Being physically fit.
  • Must not have any criminal record.
