role? Grow Kiwi Limited is looking for a Site Manager to oversee and manage orchard

operations, ensuring excellence in quality, safety, and productivity.

Hourly rate: $30 - $35 per hour.

Guaranteed hours: 30 per week.

Maximum hours: 55 per week.

Location: Bay of Plenty

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the business within the Bay of Plenty Region.

  • Increase standards of client service, and assist in the financial and marketing planning of the business.

  • Ensure that all compliance and occupational health and safety regulations are maintained, and that safety training material is available to all staff members and trainers.

  • Ensure all work complies with current and relevant government legislation, policies, and procedures.

  • Develop effective internal and external communication networks to maximize information flow and improve business productivity.

  • Meet with the Operations Manager/Director as required to collaborate on ideas and set plans in motion for overall business expansion.

  • Assist in developing human resources plans to ensure the flow of supply and demand.

  • Assist in developing training programmes, ensuring employees successfully complete training, and monitor ongoing performance.

  • Conduct regular visits to worksites within the area to ensure standards of work comply with company expectations.

  • Act as a troubleshooter for any problems arising within the business operations.

  • Contribute to developing marketing strategies to secure further horticulture contracts and grow the business within the area.

  • Actively seek potential new clients for the business by using data from research methods and business procedures, targeting new potential contacts including growers and packhouses within the wider region.

  • Maintain and keep accurate records and business paperwork.

  • Work with company contracts to create production schedules, noting the work required within specific timeframes.

  • Develop daily, weekly, and monthly plans to ensure all work is completed within specified timeframes and to the highest quality.

  • Assist in preparing staff rosters to meet production schedule goals.

  • Check production schedules to ensure sufficient staff allocation at each site to maintain quality standards.

  • Distribute equipment and other resources according to production schedules to ensure efficient use of company resources.

  • Monitor staff progress across orchards, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest possible standard.

  • Identify any issues or potential issues related to production and take proactive steps to address them early.

  • Report to the Director on a daily basis regarding site operations, productivity, and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Class 1 License
  • 2 Years relevant experinec or Level 4 or above qualifications.
