We're looking for a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join a well-equipped workshop, managing maintenance and repairs across a varied fleet of machinery and vehicles. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for internal fleet and equipment upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair a range of heavy diesel machinery, trucks, and vehicles
  • Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs
  • Perform scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations
  • Assist with inventory and parts ordering
  • Recommend improvements to fleet maintenance practices

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Essential: Qualified mechanic
  • Desirable: Class 4 licence, WOF certification.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Experience with heavy machinery and vehicles
  • High attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Good communication and organisational skills
