We pride ourselves on timely service, strong route coordination, excellent customer communication, and safe, efficient logistics operations. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Transport Operations Coordinator to manage the Otago region of the local delivery network and support our team of drivers, dispatchers, and logistics staff.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate delivery drivers, schedules, and route optimisation across the Otago region

  • Oversee dispatch operations, ensuring timely pickup and deliveries

  • Monitor and manage performance metrics (on-time delivery, driver efficiency, customer satisfaction)

  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to service standards

  • Maintain compliance with transport laws, health & safety, and company policies

  • Prepare delivery manifests, reports, and daily/weekly operational summaries

  • Assist in recruitment, training, and performance reviews of delivery and dispatch staff

  • Maintain and oversee the condition and maintenance schedules of fleet vehicles

  • Implement cost-control strategies for fuel, vehicle wear, scheduling, and overtime


Skills, Experience & Qualification Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a logistics, delivery coordination, or transport operations role; supervisory or managerial experience strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to manage staff and schedules under pressure while maintaining high service quality

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to liaise with customers and stakeholders

  • Working knowledge of route planning, dispatch software, transport regulations, and vehicle maintenance basics

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to respond to changes in demand or delivery delays

  • A level 4 qualification or above can replace the required work experiences.
