Seeking One Metal Fabricator in Wellington to work for business permanently. 

A desirable candidate should be: 

Have 1 - 2 years’ relevant work experience.

Positive, punctual, honest, good at teamwork.

The minimum rate of pay is $30/hour-$40/hour, the minimum hour of work is 30 hours per week, 5 days a week.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to identify job requirements

  • Select, clean, and prepare metal stock for fabrication or repair

  • Cut and shape metal components using hand tools, flame cutters, and metal cutting machines

  • Cutting, Assembly, Fixing of Hardware, Cutting and Fitting of liners, Glazing and Cleaning for delivery.

  • Heat, bend, and form metal parts and extrusion using appropriate tools and techniques

  • Align and secure metal parts using hand tools, measuring instruments, and welding equipment

  • Fabricate and repair metal products using various welding techniques, as well as bolting or riveting to join sections

  • Inspect welds for accuracy, including bead width, penetration, and finish

  • Carry out other reasonable tasks as directed by the employer
