Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Planning and organizing daily store operations to achieve sales targets and maximize
profitability. - Managing staff, including recruitment, training, rostering, performance evaluation, and
supervision. - Monitoring sales trends and implementing promotional strategies to increase sales.
- Ensuring the store maintains an appealing layout and product presentation in line with
the souvenir brand’s image. - Managing inventory levels, coordinating stock ordering, receiving, and loss prevention.
- Maintaining relationships with suppliers and negotiating pricing or promotional terms
where applicable. - Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback to ensure high levels of
satisfaction. - Overseeing cash handling, reconciliation, and daily banking procedures.
- Preparing reports on sales performance, costs, and inventory turnover.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, health and safety, and employment
regulations. - Monitoring market trends and adjusting stock selection to meet tourist and seasonal
demands.
Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job
- NZQF Level 5 qualification.
- Minimum 2 years relevant work experience
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a small team effectively.
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and rostered shifts.
