Position Title: Agriculture and Horticultural Plant Machinery Operator
Number of Positions: 2
Location: Katikati, Bay of Plenty
Pay Rate: $30 – $35 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week

Key Requirements

  • No qualification or work experience required.
  • Valid NZ or Overseas driver’s license (Class 1) is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate tractors, sprayers, mulchers, and mowers in orchard blocks
  • Conduct pre-start checks and routine maintenance of machinery
  • Apply sprays and treatments according to orchard schedules
  • Transport bins, equipment, and materials across orchard sites
  • Follow GPS and mapping systems for precision tasks
  • Maintain spray logs and equipment usage records
  • Report faults or hazards to management promptly
  • Assist with irrigation, mowing, and land preparation tasks
  • Ensure safe operation in all weather and terrain conditions
