We are looking for skilled and passionate 3 Hairdressers to join our professional salons in Nelson, Tasman region. If you take pride in helping men look and feel their best, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

This employment is on full time and permanent basis with 30 hours per week guaranteed. They pay for this role ranges between $28-35.00 depending on experience. You will be working as per a roster, so availability throughout the week is a must. 

The successful applicants will need to complete the following tasks: 

  • Provide professional advice on men’s hair care, grooming products, and modern hairstyles
  • Shampoo, condition, and treat hair and scalp to maintain healthy hair
  • Cut, trim, and shape hair using scissors, clippers, and razors to achieve classic and contemporary men’s styles
  • Perform beard shaping, trimming, and traditional razor shaves
  • Apply hair colouring, toning, and chemical treatments such as straightening or perming when required
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards by sanitising tools and keeping the workstation tidy
  • Manage client bookings, provide excellent customer service, and handle payments
  • Cut, colour, and style men’s wigs or hairpieces if needed 

We require the successful applicant to have: 

  • At least two years of experience, or level 4 or above qualification in hairdressing/barber skills/salon services/relevant field
  • Up to date with the latest trends in men’s grooming and hairstyles.
  • The ability to perform hairdressing services on various different types and conditions of hair.
  • A personable attitude, with the ability to make conversation with a wide number of people from a wide number of backgrounds.
  • The ability to be punctual and have a good attitude is a must.
