Vintel Limited is seeking an experienced Store Manager to join its liquor store in the Wellington region. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, business-driven, and capable of efficiently managing daily operations while ensuring smooth store performance and growth.


Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily store operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and smooth service delivery.
• Manage financial aspects of the business, including cash flow, banking, and reconciliation of accounts.
• Monitor pricing strategies and margins to maintain targeted gross profit levels.
• Ensure full compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and all licensing obligations.
• Develop and monitor sales, stock, and labour budgets to optimise overall store performance.
• Plan and execute local marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store visibility and revenue.
• Promote the business through social media and other digital channels to attract and retain customers.
• Handle customer feedback and complaints promptly to maintain strong customer relationships.
• Liaise with suppliers to manage stock replenishment, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely deliveries.
• Recruit, train, and supervise staff to uphold company service standards and operational efficiency.
• Foster a positive team culture by motivating employees and recognising strong performance.
• Support business growth by identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance customer experience.
• Maintain a safe and compliant workplace in line with company Health & Safety policies.


The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $28 and $35 per hour.


Other Important Requirements:

• A minimum of 1-year relevant work experience or a Level 5 qualification in a related field.
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Available to work on weekends and late evening shifts.
