We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, be reliable, and have a strong eye for detail.
The role involves travelling to different sites across Auckland, with all travel and fuel costs covered by the employer.
Key Responsibilities:
• Empty bins, containers, and trays, and properly dispose of rubbish and recyclables.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners to clean floors, work areas, and machinery.
• Clean ceilings, walls, overhead fixtures, and other surfaces to remove dust and dirt.
• Use appropriate cleaning agents, acids, or solvents to treat stains and marks on various surfaces.
• Strip old wax, apply new wax coatings, and polish floors to maintain a clean and presentable finish.
• Conduct routine inspections and record cleaning or maintenance activities as required.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks and assist with special cleaning projects when needed.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or areas requiring repair to management.
• Carry out minor cleaning-related repairs and adjustments as necessary.
• Clean and disinfect wet areas, ensuring all plumbing fixtures are in proper working condition and reporting any defects.
• Refill and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure readiness for daily operations.
Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $25 to $30 per hour.
Other requirements for the role:
• Relevant work experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Available to work on weekends
• Valid Driver’s License is required
• Physically fit to carry out a range of tasks
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work well in a team and also independently
