The Top Energy Group operates throughout the Far North delivering geothermal electricity generation and electricity network operations. We are enabling Northland to contribute to the decarbonisation challenge by transforming the Top Energy Group into a technology-enabled energy company that generates and facilitates two-way energy flow between renewable energy generators and consumers.

We are seeking a person to co-ordinate the material requirements for Top Energy Contracting Services and Network, to ensure the right materials are available in a timely and efficient manner. Facilitate the effective operation of the Stores to meet the inventory requirements of Top Energy.

This position reports to the Procurement and Facilities Manager and is based at our Puketona Depot.

Key areas of focus will be:

  • Health and safety, especially for all stores related activities
  • Directs and actions purchase requests allocated for processing into Purchase Orders
  • Managing stock levels at the Kaitaia and Puketona Stores to perform accurate and timely ordering
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of invoice rectifications
  • Work with internal stakeholders to determine forecast requirements for non-stock materials and equipment
  • Arrange customs clearance, duty and transport to site with nominated customs clearance and transport company
  • Coordinate Project picklists with various departments and Project Managers
  • Manage purchasing and warehousing of non-stock Unique Spares (including equipment and materials)
  • Support the Inventory Supervisor, and provide cover as required
  • Manage unique stock spares levels (both in SAP S4 Hana and physical spares held), including annual reviews
  • Support cyclical and year end stocktakes
  • Staff management and development

To succeed in this role, it is essential that the candidate holds a relevant qualification or the equivalent (2-3 years) experience in an inventory control role and is experienced using Computerised Inventory and Purchasing, Cost and budget management, with an intermediate level of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and Outlook. Experience with SAP, or similar ERP, is preferred.

It is essential to hold current clean NZ Drivers Licence Class 1, an added advantage would be to hold a Class 2 & 4 as well as a current OSH forklift certification, whilst having experience operating Stores related machinery (e.g. overhead gantry). Experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred as well as having Electrical Industry experience.
