Retail Supervisor

We are looking to fill 1 permanent full-time retail supervisor position in our busy retail shop in
Blenheim. The job suits a very dynamic person who has an ability to multi-task, takes initiative
and has the ability to take decisive action in a fast-paced work environment.

5 days per week – rostered shifts between 7 am and 8pm from Monday to
Sunday Weekly hours: 30-35 hours
Availability to work on weekends and public holidays
Hourly rate: minimum $26 maximum: $28
From time to time overtime may be required
The position
You will oversee, coordinate and supervise the job tasks of our staff on a day to day basis. You will
work closely with our general manager and the rest of the team to ensure there is good team
cohesion and customers have a pleasant experience while shopping with us.
Job responsibilities
Provide customers prompt and exceptional customer service
Answer customer inquiries about goods and services
Handle customer complaints
Plan and prepare staff time rosters
Staff management including recruitment, training and
supervision Resolve staff grievances
Be in charge of stock taking, price setting and order new
stock Check the condition of the delivered goods
Implement strict safety and security procedures
Skills and experience
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in a supervisory role in a customer
service setting
Cash handling experience
Proven sales experience and a passion for providing high quality customer
experience Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Strong organisational skills
Exceptional customer service skills
Familiarity with health and safety procedures
Strong work ethic & ability to work in team
Must be physically fit as heavy lifting may be required
