Shree Matangi Food Limited T/A Pizza Hut Petone is seeking a motivated Assistant Manager to join the team in Petone, Wellington. The ideal candidate will be reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to support the Manager in overseeing daily operations, coordinating staff, and ensuring high service standards are consistently maintained.
Key Duties:
• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations to ensure the restaurant runs smoothly.
• Assist with opening and closing the store, following all company checklists and safety procedures.
• Help organise staff during shifts to maintain efficient service and good teamwork.
• Monitor stock levels, report shortages, and assist in placing orders as directed by the Manager.
• Ensure food is prepared, stored, and served according to hygiene and safety standards.
• Provide friendly and prompt service to customers and help resolve minor issues when they arise.
• Handle basic cashing up, EFTPOS transactions, and assist with end-of-day reconciliations.
• Help train new team members on store procedures and customer service expectations.
• Keep the store clean, well-presented, and compliant with company and health regulations.
• Support the team in meeting daily sales targets and maintaining a positive store atmosphere.
Work Hours and Benefits
• Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week
• Paid between $25 to $30 per hour.
Other Important Requirements:
• Relevant work experience is preferred but not mandatory as provide training.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced food service environment
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Available to work on weekends and late-evening shifts as required
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
• Reliable, well-organised, and able to coordinate staff efficiently
