We are looking for a Service Station Store Manager to join our team in the Tauranga region. This role requires someone who can manage the overall operations of a busy service station and retail store, ensuring smooth daily operations, profitability, and high service standards. An understanding of retail store supervisory work will be a great advantage. You will have a high level of control.

We are looking for a Service Station Store Manager to join our team in the TAURANGA region. This is a full-time permanent role, working a minimum of 32 hours per week for up to 42 hours per week. You will be rostered between the hours of 05:00AM to 11:00pm Monday to Sunday.

 Core Responsibilities

•                     Manage the store independently and ensure the business meets profit targets

•                     Introduce new products in demand, phase out old stock, and regularly review product mix

•                     Maintain high service standards and continuously improve customer experience

•                     Promote and advertise store goods and services

•                     Oversee security of cash, keys, alarms, and stock

•                     Set pricing for goods to maximize profitability

•                     Develop and maintain professional relationships with suppliers

•                     Manage stock levels, purchasing, discounting, clearance, and stock control systems

•                     Monitor business income and expenses, with strong accounting and budgeting oversight

•                     Handle banking, cash reconciliation, and petty cash

•                     Maintain accurate business records and documentation

•                     Implement purchasing, advertising, pricing, and marketing policies

•                     Sell goods directly to customers, upsell and recommend products

•                     Address and resolve customer complaints promptly

•                     Ensure staff compliance with health, safety, and security requirements

•                     Oversee cleaning, maintenance, and overall presentation of the site

 Requirements

•                     Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory, managerial experience in either retail, hospitality, sales, corporate,  or other relevant role.

•                     Experience in the retail/service station industry is desirable

•                     Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

•                     Strong knowledge of merchandising and store presentation

•                     Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and some split shifts

•                     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

•                     Current driver’s license required

•                     If needed candidates must work independently.

•                     This job involves some cleaning activities.
