We are looking for a reliable and experienced Store Person to join the fast-paced Operations team at our Christchurch branch.
This role is based in our Freezer department, where you’ll play a vital part in ensuring customer orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time.
Position snapshot:
- Location: Cumnor Terrace, Woolston
- Shifts: Monday to Friday, between 07:00 am – 04:00 pm
- Position: Permanent, full time
About the Role
As a Store Person in the freezer, you will:
- Work in a temperature-controlled environment (freezer temperatures as low as -18°C) – PPE provided.
- Pick and pack frozen food products for customer orders with precision and efficiency.
- Replenish frozen stock and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Keep the freezer storage area clean, organized, and safe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick and pack goods for dispatch with a high level of accuracy.
- Ensure orders are packed and dispatched on time.
- Operate an Aisle Master forklift safely within the freezer environment.
- Wrap pallets, assist with loading and dispatching.
- Perform routine freezer maintenance and cleaning.
- Assist with stock takes and general warehouse duties.
- Heavy lifting (up to 20–25 kgs).
About you
You’ll bring experience from a warehouse or logistics environment, ideally with a background in pick-packing. This is a physically demanding role that requires resilience, accuracy, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
Essential Attributes:
- Previous experience in a freezer or cold storage warehouse required.
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -18°C.
- Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting.
- Strong attention to detail and time management.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Scanning and computer skills (advantageous).
- Forklift license (advantageous).
- Reliable transport and excellent attendance record.
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
