We are a liquor retail business seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Liquor Store Merchandiser.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Keeping up to date with changing market preferences and liquor trends
Monitoring sales trends and inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained
Reviewing seasonal and budgetary factors when planning purchasing decisions
Assessing product popularity and identifying new product opportunities
Liaising with suppliers to negotiate pricing, promotions, and delivery schedules
Planning and implementing pricing, promotional, and in-store display strategies
Collaborating with management to support long-term business growth and sales targets
Engaging with customers in-store, processing sales, and providing product recommendations
Ensuring compliance with relevant alcohol sale regulations and store policies
Assisting with stocktake, inventory control, and relatedoperations as needed

 

Requirements:

At least two year’s relevant experience, or a relevant tertiary qualification (level 4 or higher).
Strong understanding of retail merchandising and category management (knowledge will be tested at interview)
Strong understanding of marketing principles in small business settings (knowledge will be tested at interview)
Strong communication skills and customer service focus
Clear police record.

Pay range: $30 to $32 per hour, depending on experience.

Hours: As this is a full-time position, you will be guaranteed a minimum 30 hours per week but will likely be required to work approximately 40 hours per week.
