We are currently seeking reliable and full-time Commercial Concreters to join our team. Starting pay offered from $28 - $35 hourly will be fixed according to the skills and experience for 30-50 hours a week. However, this will be reviewed periodically. Any overtime will be paid as per above payrate. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of related tasks, including:

  • Operate a range of concrete machinery including laser screeds, trowelling machines, and ride-on finishers for large slab pours.
  • Perform floating, panning, finishing, and burnishing tasks to meet structural and architectural specifications.
  • Work efficiently to meet time-sensitive concrete setting schedules on fast-paced commercial sites.
  • Apply correct finishing and curing techniques to achieve consistent surface results and prevent cracking or defects.
  • Read and interpret slab designs and specifications, including post-tensioned slabs, steel fibre slabs, and combi-slabs.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, pump/excavator operators, plasterers, and other trades to ensure smooth site operations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment at all times.

 

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Two years of proven experience as a concreter or in a construction worker role. Alternatively, a recognised relevant qualification
  • Must be available to work early mornings and weekends (based on work arrangement)
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines.
  • A pre-employment drug test and police check are required.
