We are seeking a reliable and experienced Retail Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy store.. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining stock levels, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring the store operates smoothly and efficiently. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced retail environment.

 

You would be required to perform the following duties not limited to:

 

  • Handling and resolving customer complaints, service issues, and operational challenges promptly and professionally.

  • Preparing and managing budgets, monitoring expenditure, and analysing financial performance to guide business decisions.

  • Coordinating and overseeing all promotional activities, advertising campaigns, and in-store merchandising to increase customer engagement.

  • Maintaining accurate inventory records, stock-movement reports, and financial documentation, including daily sales and reconciliation.

  • Ensuring the store’s full compliance with health and safety requirements, workplace regulations, and operational policies.

  • Planning and managing the store’s product range, stock availability, and customer-service standards to meet organisational goals.

  • Leading the recruitment, training, rostering, and supervision of staff to ensure high performance and positive customer experience.

  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing purchasing strategies, marketing plans, and pricing policies to maximise sales and profitability.

  • Actively selling products and services to customers and providing informed advice on features, benefits, and proper usage.

 

Skills and Attributes

Candidate must have either relevant Level 4 Qualification or 1-2 years of relevant experience.

 

  • Be physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks

  • Be punctual, reliable, and able to follow instructions

 

What We Offer

 

Competitive pay rates from NZ$28 to NZ$36 per hour.

Permanent, full-time employment (minimum 30 hours per week)
