PRIME AUTO CENTRE 2016 LIMITED is a trusted automotive service and repair business with a reputation for technical expertise and customer service. We provide high-quality electrical diagnostics, repair, and installations for a range of vehicles including cars, commercial fleets, and machinery. 

We are currently seeking a skilled Automotive Electrician to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:
● Use diagnostic and test equipment to locate electrical and electronic faults in vehicles
● Dismantle and remove faulty electrical and electronic assemblies and components
● Install new electrical equipment and electronic components in motor vehicles
● Connect power-operated vehicle equipment and accessories to appropriate power supplies
● Adjust engine control systems and electronic timing for optimal performance
● Test, repair, or replace defective alternators, generators, voltage regulators, and starter motors
● Repair and replace faulty ignition systems and damaged or worn electrical wiring
● Replace defective parts including fuses, lamps, switches, and relays
● Ensure all work is carried out to manufacturer standards and safety regulations


Skills and Experience Required:
● Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience as an automotive electrician
● Experience working with both modern vehicle electronics and traditional wiring systems
● Attention to detail and strong troubleshooting skills
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● Valid NZ driver’s licence preferred
 
Pay and Hours:
● Pay rate: NZD $30.00 – $35.00 per hour, depending on experience
● Minimum guaranteed hours: 30 hours per week
● Workdays: Monday to Saturday
● Work hours: Between 8:00am and 5:00pm
● Closing Date for Applications: 09/12/2025
● Start Date (approx.): December/25 or ASAP
 
Flexibility:
● Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays as required.
